Childhood Snippets: Golden Yellow Sun Rays
I'm trying out to remember my childhood memories just in case I need to be reminded of how simple life was. I don't think this makes sense to do at all but ever since I've started this website, for some reason, I see myself reading this when I am 70 or so... who knows? So let's roll with it...
This does not necessarily have to be a long-form blog. Let me start...
Childhood memory (more like snippets that I remember now that I am 3 decades older):
I remember sitting on the three-seater green sofa that was adjacent to the living room door. There's a four/five-level bookshelf between the door and the sofa. I think it was one of my favourite things in the living room because my father built the bookshelf from scratch and I remember getting too excited about the fact that I can see all my books in one place in the living room!
At a certain time of day (I do not recall if it's in the morning or afternoon), the sun rays pass through the door perfectly that makes our red-waxed floor shine like velvet. If you take a step back further to see the door, bookshelf and sofa, you can clearly see the sun rays pass through like someone painted a golden yellow paint in perfect parallel. It was so magical to me as a kid. So often I would sit on the sofa. My whole body on the sofa, my neck resting on the edge (sofa arm) facing the ceiling and I would bend down a bit to face the door up-side down and get the sun rays on my face. I would do this for a few minutes feeling the warmth on my face and sometimes would stare on the rays and notice the little dust particles flowing in it. I was a weirdo kid, but I loved doing it.
There's nothing much to this but I want to keep it for memory keeping's sake.
