Holy Week 2012 - Part II

My first morning in Lamanan was quiet. Looking back, it was the most peaceful morning I've had for this year. Being able to see a view of green fields, blue sky and right amount of sunlight is astonishing. It definitely washed away all my problems (in school). I think for the whole period I was there, I forgot about my life in the city, and it was a good thing.

It was also my first time to drink coffee without cream. It was very strong that I became hyper afterwards. I walked around the place and caught some pretty views.

My brother woke up earlier. While I was having coffee, he was out there walking around in his boots. He brought me to a place where the best view can be seen (so far). On the left side, you see the sun rise. On the right is where you see Mount Apo (not in the pic because it was too cloudy).

(Located on the left side of the pic above) You can see three mountains but actually there are more than that when I went back the next day (which will be on the next post). It was sunny but kind of cloudy. Still, it was breathtaking to see such view in the morning.

There were goats of different colors,

flowers of different kinds,

and fresh vegetables all around!

There was no internet so a book (Nine Stories borrowed from a friend) was my buddy when I needed to rest.

Biko -- a special rice cake topped with caramel drizzles or latik. Biko is usually served during birthday parties, fiestas, Christmas, New Year and other celebrated events in Philippines. (source)

It was sunny but I didn't mind climbing hills and going anywhere all by myself.

There were so many kinds of flowers along the way. I love it! :)
